The CDL Board of Trustees invite the public to meet the new Director Sarah Neidert (prounounced NIGH-dert) on Thursday, November 17 from 6:00 to 7:00 pm in the third floor Community Room. The meet and greet will take place directly before the November CDL Board of Trustees meeting at 7:00 pm. Neidert, who previously worked at the Brighton District Library, began her role as Director on October 31.

Being from Livingston County, Neidert was familiar with the Hartland area, and had visited the library and the aquatic center at Hartland High School with her children many times.  “I knew this was a close knit community that is also growing, and am really enjoying how involved the Library is in the life of the community,” Neidert said when asked about what attracted her to Hartland, adding, “people clearly love this Library and I’m privileged to lead the staff and Board of Trustees forward.” When asked what she is looking forward to in the future, she answered, “I’m excited to start a new strategic plan early next year to get an idea of what the community values in the Library, and to map out a plan to continue as the cultural center of Hartland.”

Hartland Living welcomes Sarah and looks forward to working with her as a Partner in Progress on the strategic plan and other community events and projects.
