June 1, 2022 –
Cromaine District Library is inviting the community to register for the Oceans of Possibilities Summer Reading Challenge! The Summer Reading Challenge for 2022 has a new way to log your books or minutes using Beanstack. Patrons can register online at www.cromaine.org or in person at the Library. Log your reading from June 1 through August 4 and complete fun activities for chances to win prizes. Grand prizes include gift cards to some of your favorite local stores and restaurants, plus themed prize packs filled with fun.
Cromaine’s Community Relations Manager Pam Holtz encourages all children to join because, “The benefits are tremendous, but truly the main thing is, that kids that read over the summer–there is very little summer learning loss and they are ahead of the game in the fall!” Along with the reading challenge, there are many water-themed programs on the calendar for all ages as well. Everything from “A History of Piracy on the Great Lakes” for adults to “Sand Art” for those in Grades 1 through 4. Find the Events Calendar at www.cromaine.org to see the full schedule.
