Our mission is to aid Law Enforcement students in furthering their career. We raise funds through annual golf outings. Our golf outings are held on a Friday each August. We gladly accept donations throughout the year and ask for sponsors as the date draws closer. We present $2500 cash awards to two students twice a year at graduations from the Schoolcraft Police Academy in Livonia (Patrick's Alma Mater). Our family established an endowment at Schoolcraft to honor our late son, Sergeant Patrick O'Rourke, who was shot and killed on September 9, 2012, by a barricaded gunman thought to be suicidal. Patrick attended Hartland Schools, and settled in Tyrone Township when his life ended serving the West Bloomfield Police Department. He left behind a lovely wife and four beautiful children.
