What is the hARTland Art Walk?

It’s an Art Festival and Competition September 23 through October 7, 2023 in Hartland, Michigan. We like to say it’s, “Art Prize, Hartland Size.”

  • Artwork located throughout Settlers Park and area businesses over a 2 week period.

  • Art Walk Kickoff on September 23 at Settlers Park with live music, food trucks, and vendors. Empty Canvas performs live music, while inviting the crowd to come up and paint, at Noon and 2:00 pm!

  • The festival concludes with the final prizes awarded by a panel of judges at the closing ceremony on Oct 7 at Settlers Park.

Open to amateur and professional artists from Michigan and K-12 Hartland Consolidated Schools students and HCS classrooms.

Art Walk Schedule

Saturday, September 23 from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm

Kick-off at Settlers Park with food trucks, vendors, crafts for kids, and Empty Canvas performs live music, while inviting the crowd to come up and paint, at Noon and 2:00 pm!

 

Saturday, September 23 through October 7

Artwork on display at Settlers Park and surrounding locations and businesses, plus participate in the Art Walk Scavenger Hunt and find the Geocache!

 

Saturday, September 30 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm

Come to Settlers Park for a Scavenger Hunt with giveaways and snacks.

 

Saturday, October 7 from 12:00 to 2:00 pm

Join us at Settlers Park Pavilion to hear the Hartland High School Band at Noon, followed by the Awards Presentation at 12:30 pm.

Art Walk Contest Details

There are two categories for artists to enter:

  • Amateur and professional artists from Michigan—no age limits

– Prizes include a grand prize as selected by a panel of judges and two smaller prizes as selected by public vote.

  • Hartland Consolidated Schools students in Grades K-12 and HCS Classrooms

– $250 scholarships to be awarded as selected by a panel of judges for the following grade categories: K-4, 5-6, 7-8, 9-12
